Operation Devil Hunt: 65 activists arrested in Gazipur

![]() Gazipur District Police Superintendent Dr. Chowdhury Md. Jaber Sadek confirmed this information at 9:30 am on Sunday (February 9). He said that 40 people have been arrested so far (9 am) in Operation Devil Hunt, which began yesterday. The detainees are people of the fascist government in various ways. However, the names and identities of the detainees were not immediately known. Meanwhile, Gazipur Metropolitan Police, Bangladesh Army, RAB and other law enforcement agencies conducted Operation Devil Hunt overnight. No information has been received from their side yet about any detentions or arrests. Police have arrested 65 people in Gazipur on charges of trying to disrupt law and order. Of them, 25 were arrested from the metropolitan area, said Additional Commissioner of Metropolitan Police Mohammad Zahidul Haque. On the other hand, the district police have arrested 40 more people in various upazilas of Gazipur district, said the Superintendent of Police of the district police. |
